There are two kinds of line on a face, and they want completely different treatments. Telling them apart is most of the work — and it is the reason a first appointment starts with you making expressions in a mirror rather than with a needle.
What is actually happening
Two different problems that look like one.
A dynamic line is a fold. The muscle underneath contracts, the skin above it creases, and when the muscle relaxes the crease disappears. Frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines all start this way, and while they are still dynamic they are the easiest thing in aesthetics to treat.
A static line is a crease that has stopped going away. Decades of the same fold, plus collagen that has been declining by roughly one percent a year since your twenties, and the skin no longer springs back flat. Now it is a texture problem, not a muscle problem.
This matters because relaxing a muscle does nothing to a line that is already etched into the skin. People come in disappointed that tox 'stopped working' when what actually happened is that their lines crossed over from dynamic to static and nobody told them the treatment needed to change.
Most faces have both, in different places. It is normal to need a muscle treatment across the forehead and a resurfacing treatment around the mouth, and to be told that one area is not worth treating yet.

Ranked by what does the most work for the most people. The first one handles dynamic lines; everything below it exists because dynamic lines are not the whole story.

Softens the forehead, glabella and crow's feet within three to seven days, full effect by two weeks, lasting three to four months. It will not touch a line that is visible when your face is completely still.

Tends to diffuse a little further from the injection point, which some injectors prefer across a broad forehead. Onset is often a day or two quicker. Priced per unit, and the units are not interchangeable with Jeuveau's.

Works below the surface to rebuild collagen with no visible peeling and no downtime, which is why it is the one people book at lunchtime. It is a course of three to four, not a single appointment, and it softens texture rather than erasing a deep fold.

A nasolabial fold or a marionette line is often a support problem — the cheek above it has deflated. Filling the fold directly is the common mistake; restoring the structure above it is usually what actually works.
What we would recommend
For most people, in this order.
If your lines disappear when your face is at rest, start with tox and nothing else. Three to four months later you will know exactly what it does and does not fix, and that is a far better basis for the next decision than a plan made on day one.
If some lines stay when you are still, add resurfacing rather than more units. More tox on an etched line is money spent on the wrong layer, and the injector who keeps selling it should be telling you this instead.
If the lower face is the concern — folds running from the nose or the corners of the mouth — this is usually about volume and structure. That is a filler conversation, and it starts above the fold rather than in it.
What to expect
Sessions, timing and what it costs.
Wrinkle treatment is maintenance, not a one-off. Knowing the actual rhythm before you start is what stops it becoming a surprise.

- Tox begins working at three to seven days and is fully settled at two weeks. We book a two-week check on your first treatment so the dose can be adjusted before it becomes your standing dose.
- How often
- Every three to four months for tox. Most people settle into three or four treatments a year and use fewer units over time as the muscles get less strong.
- Resurfacing
- ClearLift runs as a course of three to four sessions, four weeks apart, then once or twice a year to hold it. Collagen change is slow — the difference is obvious at three months, not at three days.
- Cost
- Tox is priced per unit rather than per area, so the figure depends on the dose your face actually needs. Every unit price and every treatment price is published on the pricing page.

Common questions
What people ask about fine lines and wrinkles.
Am I too young to start?
There is no age at which this becomes appropriate, only a point at which a line stops going away on its own. If your lines vanish completely when your face is still, you are treating a line that has not formed yet — which some people choose to do and is a reasonable preventative position, but it is a choice rather than a need. If they stay when you stop moving, the conversation has already changed and starting sooner means less to undo.
How many units of tox will I need?
Most first treatments land between 20 and 50 units across the upper face, and the number depends on muscle strength rather than age. A strong glabella can take 20 units on its own; a light forehead treatment might be 8. We quote per unit precisely so that nobody pays an area price for a dose they did not need.
Will my wrinkles be worse if I stop?
No. This is the most persistent myth in the category. If you stop, the muscle gradually regains its full strength and the lines return to where they would have been — they do not overshoot. What is true is that years of treatment slow the etching process, so stopping usually reveals lines that are milder than they would otherwise have been.
What is the difference between Botox, Dysport and Jeuveau?
They are all botulinum toxin type A and they all relax the same muscles. The differences are in the protein formulation, the diffusion pattern and the unit scale, which is why unit counts do not convert between them. We stock Jeuveau and Dysport, and the choice between them comes down to the area being treated and how you have responded before.
Am I too young to start?
The honest answer is that it depends on your lines, not your birthday. If a line is visible at rest in your late twenties, treating it early genuinely does keep it from etching further. If your face is completely smooth at rest, preventative treatment is optional and we will say so rather than sell it to you.
Can I treat wrinkles without injections?
Partly. Resurfacing treatments like ClearLift and microneedling improve etched lines and skin quality without any injectable, and medical-grade retinoids do real work over months. What nothing topical will do is stop a muscle from folding the skin — for dynamic lines, relaxers are the only thing that addresses the cause.
