What it does

Botox relaxes the specific muscles that fold the skin above them. Soften the movement and the line it creates softens with it, which is why it works on expression lines across the forehead, between the brows and at the outer corners of the eyes. It is the first product of its kind and the one most people mean when they use the word generically, and it has the longest clinical record in the category by some margin.
What it will not do is fill anything. A line that is visible when your face is completely still is usually a volume or a surface problem rather than a movement one, and it wants filler or resurfacing instead.
