Medical Spa in Neenah, WI, About Illumatox

Built on intention, not trends.

Illumatox is a medical spa at 704 Main St in downtown Neenah, founded by nurse practitioner Elizabeth Coenen on a simple idea: aesthetic care should enhance rather than overwhelm. Treatments are performed by licensed medical professionals, prices are published, and plans aim for results that look natural.

Our story

Why the studio exists.

The studio was founded to offer refined treatments that respect individuality while supporting long-term skin health, which sounds like a mission statement until you see how much it rules out. It rules out selling the device you happen to own. It rules out treating a face as a set of problems to be corrected one by one.

Rather than following trends, we work from evidence-based technique, current technology and a treatment plan built for one person. That orientation is why there are several treatment platforms in the building rather than the one or two that would be more profitable.

It is also why the prices are published. In a category where quoting at consultation is standard, putting every figure on a page (including per unit, per syringe and all fourteen laser hair removal areas) removes the part of the process people find most uncomfortable.

The studio sits on Main Street in downtown Neenah, three blocks from the lake, and serves the Fox Valley from that one address. That is deliberate too.

Experience and training

Who is actually performing your treatment.

In a medical category the answer to that question matters more than any device specification, so it is on the page rather than buried in a bio.

Treatments are performed by licensed medical professionals with specialised training in aesthetic medicine, and ongoing education keeps that current: techniques, safety standards and the products themselves all move.

Clinical experience spans injectables and facial balancing, advanced skincare, laser and energy-based technologies, body contouring and regenerative treatments. Every recommendation is a balance of medical knowledge and aesthetic judgement, and the second half is the part that takes years.

Injectables are shared between Elizabeth and our second nurse practitioner, and corrective skin work sits with our master esthetician.

Our philosophy

The best work is the work nobody can point at.

We believe the best aesthetic outcomes look natural and feel effortless. Plans are built for balance and harmony and for the long-term integrity of the skin, rather than for a dramatic result that announces itself.

In practice that means conservative dosing, thoughtful placement, and treating structure before symptoms: restoring the cheek rather than filling the fold, relaxing the muscle rather than adding volume to a line that a muscle created.

It also means we would rather you came back in two weeks and added a little than arrived with too much and waited nine months.

What to expect

What is true of every visit.

A plan, not a menu
The first appointment establishes what is actually going on before anything is recommended. An Alma IQ scan comes with any skin consultation, and it changes the plan often enough to be worth doing every time.
Published prices
Prices are on the pricing page: per unit for tox, per syringe for filler, per area for laser. The few treatments priced at consultation are marked as such, and the number you read before booking is the number at the counter.
The honest no
Some things we treat well, some things want a dermatologist or a surgeon, and some things are better left for six months. You will be told which, including when it costs us the booking.
One address
Everything happens at 704 Main St. No satellite clinics, no visiting injectors, no partner locations. The room and the person are the two variables that decide the outcome.
Simple scheduling
Book online at any hour, or call and we will help you pick the right appointment. Every treatment is performed by a trained medical professional in a regulated setting.
Mindful choices
We choose products carefully and make the greener operational choice where we can. It is a small studio, so we keep the claim small too.

Common questions

About Illumatox: what people ask.

How long has Illumatox been open?

Elizabeth Coenen opened it in 2022 as a one-woman practice. It is now a team of five in the same downtown Neenah studio at 704 Main St, and it has stayed deliberately small. You will see the same provider each visit and your notes, unit counts and photographs travel with you.

Is Illumatox a medical practice or a spa?

Medically, it is a medical spa: treatments are performed by board-certified nurse practitioners and a licensed master esthetician, and the injectable and prescribing side sits under a nurse practitioner's licence. The difference from a day spa is not the decor. It is that the person treating you can assess, diagnose and decline.

Do you do anything surgical?

No. Everything here is non-surgical, and where surgery is the honest answer for what you want we will say so rather than sell you an approximation of it. That comes up most often with significant skin laxity, where no amount of energy-based treatment substitutes for a lift.

How do you decide what to recommend?

From an assessment, and for skin usually from an Alma IQ scan that images what is happening below the surface. The house position is that a result you are unhappy with costs us more than a booking we turned down, so expect to be told when something is not worth treating yet.

What does a first visit look like?

A consultation rather than a treatment, unless you have booked something specific and it is clinically sensible on the day. It is $50, credited back against whatever you go on to have, and it is a real appointment with time to plan rather than a sales conversation.

Where are you, and is there parking?

704 Main St in downtown Neenah, with free street parking directly outside and a public lot behind the building. We serve the wider Fox Valley from this one address. There is no second location and nothing is delivered anywhere else.

Start with a conversation.

The consultation is $50 and comes straight back to you as credit toward treatment. Bring the thing you have been thinking about.
