Most lines sell a day cream and a night cream. The honest reason is usually that it doubles the basket rather than that skin needs two different things after dark.
One moisturiser that is light enough to sit under sunscreen and substantial enough to finish a night routine covers both, and it means there is one fewer decision to get wrong.
If your skin is genuinely dry rather than dehydrated, that is a different conversation and it is worth having at a consultation rather than solving with a second jar.
Every one carries a verse
Printed on the box, not on the marketing.
Each of the eight is paired with a verse — Psalm 51:2 on the cleanser, Isaiah 60:1 on the vitamin C, John 1:5 on the moisturiser. It is the same conviction that produced the Boldly Her candle and named it for Proverbs 31:25.
It is not decoration and it is not a sales device. It is the reason Elizabeth built a line at all rather than continuing to recommend somebody else’s, and it is on the packaging whether or not anybody reads it.

It is also dispensed in the studio, and that is the version worth taking if you can. Products here are recommended against a plan and adjusted as your skin responds — which sometimes means starting the retinol twice a week instead of nightly, and sometimes means being told to put three things down before adding a fourth.
A damaged barrier inflames more easily, so a routine built to fight a problem can end up feeding it. Removing products is a real recommendation here rather than a way of avoiding a sale.

What does medical-grade actually mean?
It is not a regulated term, which is worth knowing before anyone uses it at you. In practice it describes formulations at concentrations that do measurable work — 15% L-ascorbic acid rather than a trace of it, 1% encapsulated retinol rather than a retinyl ester — sold through a provider rather than off a shelf. Judge it on the actives listed, not on the phrase.
Where should I start if I have never used any of this?
A cleanser, a moisturiser and sunscreen, and nothing else for a fortnight. That is genuinely the answer. Once skin is calm you add one active at a time — usually vitamin C in the morning, then retinol at night a few weeks later — because adding three at once means you cannot tell which one caused the reaction.
Can I use the retinol pads and the exfoliating pads together?
Not on the same night. Both are exfoliating and stacking them is the most common way people damage their barrier. Alternate — retinol on some nights, the acid pads on others — and if skin gets tight or stings, drop back to two or three nights a week rather than pushing on.
Is any of it unsuitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Retinol is not used in pregnancy, and that is the one to stop. The cleansers, the enzymatic peel and the moisturiser are generally fine, but tell us you are pregnant or breastfeeding and we will go through what you are using rather than guessing from a list. The same conversation happens before any treatment.
How is Arkyn different from the other lines you carry?
It is ours, which means the handoff between what happens in the treatment room and what goes home is not dependent on somebody else's formulation decisions or supply. The ten lines we dispense are still stocked and still recommended where they are the better answer — Colorescience for sunscreen, Face Reality for acne protocols, Epicutis for a compromised barrier.
Do members pay less?
Yes — Illuminator VIP takes 15% off skincare, and the wallet balance spends on products as readily as on treatment. Across a year of home care that is usually the part of the membership that pays for itself first.
