Fox Crossing is the newest municipality in the area — the Village incorporated in 2016 out of what had been the Town of Menasha — and it occupies a broad band around the north and west of Neenah rather than a single centre. That shape is why drive times from within the village vary more than in the other four.
Little Lake Butte des Morts runs through the middle of it, with the WIS-441 corridor crossing at the south end. For most residents, downtown Neenah is the nearest downtown by a comfortable margin.

Fox Crossing wraps around Little Lake Butte des Morts, and the Trestle Trail runs straight across it. That is the village's best feature and the single largest source of sun exposure its residents get.
Water reflects UV upward. Walking or running the Trestle Trail means taking the direct overhead dose and a reflected one off the surface at the same time, and the reflected share arrives at angles sunscreen application tends to miss — under the jaw, under the nose, the front of the neck. The tell is pigment that appears in an unusual distribution, and it is common enough among people who use that trail regularly that we ask about it.
The lake also keeps humidity higher here into the autumn than a few miles inland, which is more comfortable but slows how quickly resurfaced skin sheds. It is a small effect and it changes aftercare timing rather than treatment choice — a peel done in early October in Fox Crossing may take a day or two longer to finish than the same peel in Kimberly.
Winter reverses it entirely. Once the lake is frozen and the wind has open ice to cross, the trail becomes the most exposed stretch in the village, and snow reflects far more UV than water ever did. Winter sun protection in Fox Crossing is not a precaution, it is the same argument as July with the temperature changed.

- Trail season. Reflected UV off the lake is the exposure to plan for, and it lands where sunscreen usually does not.
- October to November
- Start resurfacing. Higher lake humidity means allowing an extra day or two for a peel to finish shedding.
- December to March
- Open ice and wind. The most exposed months for both barrier damage and reflected UV, and the least protected against.

Do you serve all of Fox Crossing, including addresses that still say Menasha?
Yes. The village was incorporated in 2016 out of the Town of Menasha, and plenty of addresses inside Fox Crossing still carry a Menasha mailing address — which confuses forms, not us. Wherever in the village you are, you are between eight and fifteen minutes from the studio.
I use the Trestle Trail most days. Does that change what I should be doing?
It changes where you apply sunscreen more than whether you use it. The trail crosses open water, and water reflects UV upward, so the dose arrives from below as well as above — under the jaw, under the nose, the front of the neck. Those are the areas people miss, and pigment appearing there rather than on the forehead is usually the giveaway. It applies in February on frozen lake as much as in July, because snow and ice reflect far more than water does.

Two to five miles depending on where in the village you are, which is usually under ten minutes to 704 Main St in downtown Neenah. Because Fox Crossing wraps around Neenah rather than sitting beside it, some village addresses are closer to us than parts of Neenah itself.
Is Fox Crossing the same as the Town of Menasha?
It was. The Village of Fox Crossing incorporated in 2016 from what had been the Town of Menasha, so addresses that were Town of Menasha are now Fox Crossing. The City of Menasha is a separate municipality with its own page on this site.

What are your hours?
Monday and Thursday 9:00 to 3:30, Tuesday 10:30 to 7:00, Wednesday 9:00 to 7:00, Friday 9:00 to 5:00, and closed at weekends. The two evening days are the ones that book out first, so they are worth asking for early.
