West on WIS-441 across Little Lake Butte des Morts, then south to the Neenah exits and east into downtown. The 441 bridge is the piece that makes this a twenty-minute trip rather than a thirty-minute one.
Kimberly sits on the north bank of the Fox River east of Appleton, in the run of villages that grew up around the locks and the paper mills. The river defines the whole area — the villages are strung along it rather than spread around a centre.
The WIS-441 corridor is what connects that string to us. Since the Tri-County Freeway was rebuilt across Little Lake Butte des Morts, the Heart of the Valley to Neenah trip has been a genuinely quick one, and it is why Kimberly is on this list at all.

Why the Heart of the Valley ends up travelling.
Density is the reason. The villages along this stretch of the Fox are substantial in combined population but each is small on its own, and medical aesthetics needs a catchment before the equipment makes sense. That is why the devices tend to sit in Appleton, Neenah or Oshkosh rather than in Kimberly.
Given that you are travelling regardless, the question becomes which direction. Our argument is the range of what is in the building — eight treatment platforms rather than one or two — and a published price list you can compare against anywhere else before you book.
The other practical point is that WIS-441 makes this drive shorter than it looks on a map. Plenty of Kimberly addresses reach us faster than they reach parts of Appleton in the afternoon.
Kimberly weather, and your skin
Further from the lake, and it shows in the winter.
Kimberly sits east up the Fox River, far enough from Lake Winnebago that the lake stops moderating the temperature. Winter nights run colder here than they do on the shore, and the swing between outside and inside is wider.
That swing is the thing that damages skin, more than either temperature on its own. Moving repeatedly between a hard freeze and a heated building forces the capillaries near the surface to dilate and constrict, and in anyone with a rosacea tendency that is the mechanism behind the flushing that becomes persistent redness over a few winters. The Heart of the Valley has plenty of people working shifts that involve exactly that transition several times a day.
Mill and plant work adds its own factor. Warm, dry industrial air over a full shift dehydrates skin as reliably as a heated house does, and the people who tell us their skin is oily and dehydrated at the same time are usually describing a barrier that has given up rather than a skin type. It is treatable, and it is not treated with more exfoliation.
Kimberly is also our longest drive, at the far end of the five, and that shapes what we recommend more than the weather does. A course that needs eight visits is a genuinely different commitment from here than it is from Menasha, and we would rather propose a treatment with fewer sessions that you finish than a better one on paper that you abandon at session three.

- Redness season. Anyone who flushes should be treating the barrier before the cold sets the pattern, not after it has.
- October to April
- The resurfacing window, planned around the drive — treatments that need three visits rather than eight where the result is comparable.
- May to September
- River and trail exposure. The Fox River trail is open and unshaded for most of its length through Kimberly.

Is Kimberly too far for a course of treatments?
It is the longest of the five drives, and it genuinely changes what we would recommend. Where two treatments would get a comparable result and one needs three visits against the other's eight, we will propose the three — a course you finish beats a better course you abandon at session three. If the eight-session treatment is the only one that works, we will say that too rather than sell you a compromise.
Do appointments work around shift patterns?
Tuesday and Wednesday run until 7:00 PM, and Monday and Thursday start at 9:00 AM, which between them cover most first and second shift patterns in the Heart of the Valley. Tell us the pattern when you book rather than working around ours — it is easier to solve at booking than to rearrange later.
How do I get to Illumatox from Kimberly?
West on WIS-441 across Little Lake Butte des Morts, then south to the Neenah exits and east into downtown to 704 Main St. It is roughly twelve miles and around twenty minutes, and the 441 bridge is what keeps it that short.
Do you serve Little Chute, Combined Locks and Kaukauna as well?
Yes. The whole Heart of the Valley run along the Fox is within a similar drive, and the route is the same — WIS-441 west and then south. Adding five to ten minutes to the Kimberly time covers most addresses in those villages.
Is it worth travelling for a first consultation?
For anything beyond a straightforward tox appointment, yes. The consultation includes an Alma IQ skin analysis for any skin concern, which photographs what is happening below the surface — and that scan frequently changes the plan. It is $50 and credited back against treatment.
Can appointments be scheduled around a commute?
We are open until 7pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which is the practical answer for anyone working standard hours. Monday and Thursday close at 3:30 and Friday at 5, so evening appointments mid-week are the ones worth asking for.
