For this protocol, yes, and we would rather be upfront than pretend otherwise. The in-studio treatments support a home routine; they do not replace it. If you are not willing to change what you use daily, a course of facials will not clear acne and we would be taking your money.

Treated afterwards, not during. Needling or resurfacing through active inflamed acne can spread bacteria and worsen things. We clear the acne first, then address the scarring, usually with microneedling once the skin is calm and stable.

Weeks rather than days, and it commonly gets slightly worse before it gets better as congestion clears out. That purge is expected and temporary. We review every few weeks precisely so the plan can change if it is not moving.

For active acne, effectively yes. The in-studio work and the home routine are two halves of one thing, and treating without the routine tends not to hold. We build the routine around what your skin is doing rather than selling a fixed set.
