Medical Grade Skincare in Neenah, WI
The half of the result that happens at home.
Medical-grade skincare at our Neenah studio from SkinBetter Science, GlyMed+, Epicutis, Colorescience and Face Reality, chosen against your skin analysis rather than off a shelf. Most routines need one or two of these lines, not all of them, and members take 15% off skincare, always.

What it does
Medical Grade Skincare at Illumatox.
What separates medical-grade from over-the-counter is concentration and formulation. Retinoids, peptides, growth factors and antioxidants at doses proven to do something, in delivery systems that get them past the surface rather than leaving them on it.
They are pharmaceutical-grade ingredients held to purity and potency standards, and they are clinically tested before they reach a shelf. That is the reason they cost what they cost, and also the reason they work.
It is the less glamorous half of aesthetic medicine and the half that decides whether anything lasts. A peel or a laser creates a change; the routine is what holds it. Without one, pigmentation returns and you pay for the same treatment twice.
We prescribe against your Alma IQ scan rather than against a bundle, and we adjust as your skin changes. Some of what we recommend you will already own, and we will say so rather than sell you a duplicate.
You leave the studio with what was chosen for you, and most lines can be reordered online through the links on our products page. Members take 15% off in-stock skincare bought at the studio, every time; the discount does not apply to online reorders.

Common questions
What people ask about medical grade skincare.
How much does medical grade skincare cost?
Medical Grade Skincare is priced at consultation rather than published, because the plan varies enough that a single figure would mislead. Product prices vary by line and are given in the studio; members take 15% off everything we dispense. A routine is usually built in stages rather than bought at once.
What is medical-grade skincare, and is it actually different?
It is skincare with higher concentrations of active ingredients than over-the-counter products, and it is genuinely different in two measurable ways: the concentration of active ingredients, and the delivery system carrying them past the surface. Those are the variables that decide whether a retinoid changes anything. The word itself is unregulated, which is exactly why what matters is the specific line and who chose it for you.
Do I have to replace everything I already use?
No, and we would push back if you tried. Most routines need two or three things changed rather than rebuilt, and we would rather you spend on the one product doing the heavy lifting than on a full shelf. If something you already own is working, keep it.
How is what I need decided?
From the Alma IQ scan where there is one, so the routine is aimed at what the imaging found rather than at what you mentioned. Then it is adjusted at follow-up appointments, because skin in February and skin in August are not treating the same conditions.
Which brands do you carry?
SkinBetter Science for correction (pigment, texture and retinoids), GlyMed+ for acne, pigment and recovery, Epicutis for barrier repair after treatment, Colorescience for mineral SPF, and Face Reality for our acne programme. Arkyn is the studio's own line. Each covers something the others do not, and which one suits you depends on your skin and your budget.
Is this worth it if I am not having treatments?
Yes: arguably more so. A good routine on its own will outperform occasional treatment with no routine behind it. The reverse is the expensive way round, and it is the more common mistake.

The consultation is $50 and comes straight back to you as credit toward treatment. Bring the thing you have been thinking about.
