Alma IQ Skin Analysis in Neenah, WI

Stop guessing at your own face.

An Alma IQ skin analysis at our Neenah studio uses multi-spectral imaging to show what a mirror cannot: pigment, redness, pores, hydration, fine lines and sun damage below the surface. The scan takes minutes, it is included with a $50 skin consultation, and your plan is built from the report.

What it does

Alma IQ Skin Analysis at Illumatox.

Alma IQ scans your face in minutes using safe, touch-free multi-spectral imaging, and its software measures what it finds: pigment sitting below the surface, vascular redness, pore size, fine lines, hydration and the accumulated UV damage that has not yet surfaced.

That last part is the one that changes decisions. Sun damage shows up on the scan years before it shows up on your skin, which means it can be treated while it is still cheap and easy to treat.

It also settles the single most consequential question in skin treatment: whether you have melasma or sun damage. They look similar on the surface and they want opposite things, heat clears one and provokes the other. Getting that wrong costs months.

We plan from the report rather than from an opinion, and we re-scan later to compare. That matters because skin changes too slowly to judge from memory; the photographs remember what you do not.

Suitable for every skin type and tone, and there is nothing to recover from. It is the first step before facials, lasers or any routine worth committing to.

Common questions

What people ask about alma iq skin analysis.

How much does an Alma IQ skin analysis cost in Neenah?

Alma IQ Skin Analysis is priced at consultation rather than published, because the plan varies enough that a single figure would mislead. It is included with any skin consultation rather than billed separately, and the consultation fee is credited toward whatever you go on to have.

How often should I be re-scanned?

Every six to twelve months if you are actively treating something, and once a year otherwise. The value is in the comparison rather than the single image: skin changes too slowly to judge from memory, and a scan from last October is what turns “I think it is better” into something you can actually see.

What can the scan see that I cannot?

Pigment below the surface, vascular redness, pore size, hydration and UV damage that has not yet appeared. The useful part is the damage that is present but not yet visible. It is far easier to treat at that stage than once it has surfaced.

Does it tell melasma from sun damage?

That is the main reason we scan. The two look alike on the surface and respond to opposite things: IPL clears sun damage and can make melasma worse, because heat provokes it. Treating one as the other is the most expensive mistake in this category, and imaging is how it gets avoided.

Is it safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. The imaging is passive and touch-free. Nothing is emitted into the skin and nothing touches it. It is suitable for every skin type and tone, and it is arguably more useful on deeper tones, where surface assessment alone is least reliable.

How long does an Alma IQ scan take?

The scan itself takes a few minutes. The rest of the consultation is spent reading the report with you and turning it into a plan, so allow the full appointment rather than expecting to be in and out.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Come without make-up if you can, or arrive a few minutes early and we will remove it. The scan reads the skin itself, and foundation sits between the camera and the thing we are trying to photograph.
